Random Order is a privately funded research lab and think tank founded by Larissa Posner, a patented inventor and technology entrepreneur. It brings together scientists, engineers, and machine learning practitioners with deep deployment experience who collaborate to develop general-purpose mathematical and A.I. frameworks that transfer across domains—from cancer treatments and public health to complex decision systems—advancing computational and quantitative science.

Our members hold PhDs and Master’s degrees and have built systems deployed within institutions including D. E. Shaw, Raytheon, Tesla, Regeneron, Meta, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Our work has been recognized by the United Nations as a World-Changing Innovation.
